FCI is sponsoring the first feature film from Latino filmmakers in the Washington DC. area.

In the filmmakers own words: The Spot in the Frame" is a film about a Red Cross’ photographer who in the last twenty years has been documenting every mayor catastrophe in the world. Now in his mid forties, and after returning from the Hurricane Mitch area, he finds not only the pain and suffering he is used to, but something else that will shake his view of the world. His discovery will set in motion inner and outer obstacles, which demand from him different responses if he is to conquer them and attain a new meaning in his life. Set in Washington DC, and distinctively photographed in black and white, this film project represents the first feature effort from filmmakers Cristina Iglesias Kinczly and Gabriel del Rio.
